Rumpke Provides...
Rumpke will provide solid waste collection of up to (3) 32-gallon cans, a 96-gallon trash cart or their equivalent for each pickup, or a total of six cans per week from each residence, business, industrial or institutional establishment within the town of Osgood.

Trash Guidelines
- Trash is collected twice per week on Monday and Thursdays.
- Please place material at the curb the night before your scheduled collection days. Collection times can vary and may occur early in the morning.
- According to federal law, Rumpke is not permitted to accept batteries, tires, liquids, combustible materials, or any items identified as hazardous.
- Drums, barrels, yard and household containers aren’t acceptable trash containers and will assume trash. Rumpke will not replace these containers.
- Loose shrubbery or lumber must be bundled and tied in lengths no larger than 4 feet long and 2 feet wide. Bundles should not exceed 50 pounds.
- Bulky materials including drywall, concrete, bricks, dirt or rocks are not acceptable. Contact Rumpke for disposal options.
LARGE ITEMS
Osgood households can dispose of one large item per week on Thursdays. Items must be properly prepared at time of collection.
- Mattresses, box springs, and upholstered furniture must be wrapped and sealed in clear plastic.
- Freon must be properly removed by a certified technician and documentation must be affixed to the appliance. Contact Rumpke at 1-800-828-8171 to review additional preparation requirements.

Acceptable items include:
- Old clothing
- Furniture sealed in plastic wrapping (available at Town Hall for a small fee)
- Mattress or box springs sealed in plastic (available at Town Hall for a small fee)
- Old rugs/carpet pieces
- Rubber hose
- Appliances (washers/dryers)
- Insulation
- Cans and buckets, completely cleaned and dry
- Paint cans
Items NOT accepted:
- No electric devices containing mercury (TV’s, computers, microwaves, cell phones)
- No building and construction materials (bricks, etc.) or remodeling materials (interior/exterior)
- No car body parts including wheels and tires
- No steel or metal framing
- No tree limbs or leaves
Do NOT place batteries and electronics in your Rumpke containers. They can cause destructive fires.
