Osgood Water Facts
The Osgood water department is a 1.5 million gallon surface
water treatment plant and adds fluoride to the water.
All meters are read on the 30th of each month.
Meters for sewer rate adjustments may be purchased at the town
hall.

AN
ADMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE #1998-17 ESTABLISHING
RATES AND CHARGES FOR WHOLESALE
SERVICE TO CUSTOMERS OF
TOWN OF OSGOOD WATER UTILITY
WHEREAS, the Town of Osgood, Indiana
has the authority pursuant to Indiana Code 36-9-2-15 to furnish
water utility service to the public and establish rates and
charges for such services; and,
WHEREAS, the Town of Osgood is the owner and operator of a
water utility consisting of a water treatment plant and
distribution system capable of furnishing water service to said
Town, its inhabitants and others in the surrounding area; and,
WHEREAS, the Town of Osgood has customers which purchase
water on a wholesale basis for later resale and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary for said Town of Osgood to
establish rules and regulations for the provision and delivery
of said wholesale service and the payment therefor;
BE IT NOW, THEREFORE, ORDAINED by the Town Council for the
Town of Osgood, Indiana, that Ordinance #1998-17, establishing
rules, regulations and rates and charges for service of Town of
Osgood water utility shall be amended as follows:
SECTION 2. Rates and Charges for
Services.
A. Retail Customers *
Each retail customer shall pay a minimum
monthly charge in accordance with the size of the meter
installed and for which said customer shall be entitled to a
minimum quantity of water per month, which minimum monthly
charges and minimum monthly quantities are as follows:

Usage of water in excess of the minimum
gallons allowed will result in the following rates and charges
for the quantity of water supplied during each monthly billing

* The rates for retail customers shall
remain the same as in Ordinance #1998-17.
B. Wholesale Customers
Each wholesale customer who purchases water
for resale shall pay a monthly charge for water based on the
monthly metered consumption at a rate of $2.85 per each 1,000
gallons consumed.
