Regular Meeting
Tuesday, September 18, 2012
7:00 P.M.

Present at the meeting were Tammy Wilhoit, Norman Kappes, Linda Krinop, DeDee Holliday, Al Stong, Eric Roush, Tony Wood, Travis and Toya Neal, Tom and Brenda Wetzler, and Chris Smith.

Motion was made to waive the reading and adopt the pre-read minutes. Norman 1st, DeDee 2nd

Opened Public Hearing for the Town of Osgood’s 2013 Budget. Linda Krinop asked if anyone had any questions. No one responded. Hearing Closed.

Al Stong with Commonwealth Engineers presented Change Order #7 (final) for the Wastewater Project, which would increase the contract amount by $129,610. The Engineering Contract Amendment was presented which adjusts and adds billing categories as budgeted and discussed to match revised Guide 5 close-out document. Also, Engineering invoices in the amount of $37,296.26 were presented.

Motion was made to approve all documents and invoices. DeDee 1st, Norman 2nd

Ripley County Area Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on October 2, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. in the meeting room of the Ripley county EMA office in Versailles, IN, for a proposed amendment to the Zoning Ordinance of Ripley County. Thayer Farms Inc. is requesting a rezone from R-1 residential to R-2 residential.

Resolution 2012-9 was presented. A Resolution of the Common Council of the Town of Osgood, Indiana Authorizing Inter local Agreement with the City of Lawrenceburg, IN.

Motion was made to approve Resolution 2012-9. Norman 1st, DeDee 2nd

Inter Local Agreement between the City of Lawrenceburg and the Town of Osgood was presented.

Motion was made to approve this Inter Local Agreement with a revision to how the funds released. DeDee 1st, Norman 2nd

Sewer Department – Tony Wood said the project is winding down. Another tank has been emptied and he will be attending WEF Tech next week.

Police Department – Eric Roush gave his monthly statistical report.

4 domestics, 3 threats of suicide, 1 suspicious activity, 1 disorderly conduct, 3 agency assists, 1 canine search, 1 illegal burn, 2 traffic accidents, 1 fraud, 1 drug incident, 1 house fire, 1 traffic arrest, 1 battery, 1 child neglect, and 5 traffic citations.

WNR, LLC discussed gas, water, and sewer taps for a new construction.

Chris Smith is requesting a curb and sidewalk be cut to allow for the construction of a new 4 car garage on his property. Linda Krinop asked him to stake out and mark where the garage will be going and our Superintendents will look at it.
