Regular Meeting
Tuesday, June 16, 2015
7:00 P.M.
Present at the meeting were Tammy Wilhoit, Steve Wilhoit, Holley Rose, DeDee Holliday, Norman Kappes, Shawn Negangard, Eric Roush, John Ertel, Mary Ellen Ahlrich, Eileen Ogden, Chuck Heck, and Tony Wood.

Retroactive to June 2, 2015: Motion was made to approve June 10th, 2015 as Osgood Lions Club Day. DeDee 1st, Holley 2nd

A meeting needs to be set up for the Osgood Redevelopment Commission: A new president needs to be named and a non-voting school board member. Clerk-Treasurer will contact other board members and see if June 29th at 5:00 P.M. will work for everyone.
The Buckeye Street Sidewalk and Lighting Project has been advertised for bids. Bids will be received by the Clerk-Treasurer until Monday, June 22nd at 11:30 A.M. Bids that are received will be publicly opened and read on Monday, June 22nd at 3:00 P.M.
Lifetime Resources - Erin Thomas was present requesting funding for 2016. They serve 5 counties with Ripley County being one of those. They offer the following services: Aging and Disability Resource Center, Case Management, Nursing Home Pre-Admission Screening, Nursing Home Ombudsman, Nutrition, In-Home Services, Health and Wellness Programs, and Public Transportation.
Motion was made to approve $1,000 funding for 2016. DeDee 1st, Holley 2nd

Two properties are due for mowing: 322 E. Ripley Street and 151 N. Elm have been sent violation letters and the time has expired to take corrective action. The Town will proceed with corrective action as per Town Ordinance.
SCADA training was completed at the Water Plant on June 2nd.
Sewer Department - Tony Wood stated there were no violations, the report has been filed. When the letter for the Agreed Order is ready, it will need to be signed. They have been working on the GIS Mapping System, all manholes have been marked and they are working on clean outs and service lines. Tony and Nick participated in the IWEA Wastewater Operator Challenge, they won 2 of the 5 events. They will be going to Chicago in the fall to compete again. Most of the expense will be taken care of by IWEA, but sponsorship will cover everything else.
Police Department - Eric Roush gave his monthly statistical report. He also regretted to inform Council that Adam Hunger will be leaving. He stated it’s been a good 4 years.
Fire Department - Shawn Negangard gave his monthly statistical report: 11 First Response, 1 Auto Accident, and 1 Fire.
SE Indiana F.A.R.M. Club - Chuck Heck was present and stated their Antique Machinery Show and the Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series will be June 26th - June 28th. NBC Sports will be coming back again this year and the Discovery Channel will be filming a reality TV show on truck and tractor pulling. Chuck asked if the businesses in town could put on their signs “Welcome NBC Sports and pullers”. There will also be a parade on June 27th at 1:00 P.M.
Mary Ellen Ahlrich was present and thanked the Street Department for cutting down a shrub. She informed them that the street sign at the corner of Olive and Columbia was missing. She also stated that the wild flowers at the trails are gorgeous.
