Regular Meeting
Tuesday, January 20, 2015
7:00 P.M.
Present at the meeting were Tammy Wilhoit, Eric Roush, Mary Ann Gay, Linda Krinop, DeDee Holliday, Chuck Gill, Tony Wood, Scott White, and Tom Wetzler.

Motion was made to waive the reading and adopt the pre-read minutes. DeDee 1st, Linda 2nd

Motion was made to approve Commonwealth’s claim for $28,686 for 45% of the Design Phase of the South Buckeye Street Sidewalk and Lighting Project. DeDee 1st, Linda 2nd

Linda Krinop announced that she will be resigning her position with the Osgood Town Council effective January 31, 2015. She has sold her home here in Osgood and will be moving to another community to be closer to her family. She thanked everyone for the opportunity in allowing her to serve on Council.
Motion was made to pay $30,000 to Bingham Greenebaum Doll for legal services performed for the Osgood Redevelopment Commission. DeDee 1st, Linda 2nd

Police Department - Eric Roush gave monthly statistical report: 2 accidents, 1 possession of marijuana, 2 warrants, 6 traffic citations, 28 warnings, assisted with traffic details, 3 alarms, investigating follow up, 1 suicide threat, 1 ambulance, 1 agency assist, and 1 trespassing.
Wastewater Department - Tony Wood thanked the police department with their traffic assist. He is looking at placing a manhole access at Wabash and Fairground. During the last icy day we had, he wrecked the Taurus and the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department came and did a police report. Insurance has been notified, the car will be a total loss. They will be removing all the equipment and we should receive a payout for the value of the car. He asked Council if there would be a possibility of looking for another economy car to run errands and go to seminars with to save on fuel cost. Council tabled this request until further review. He also stated that they have been working on compliance issues with the chloride. Sampling and modeling are being done to determine which direction to go. Tony stated he would miss Linda and that she has been very good to work for.
Fire Department - Scott White gave December 2014 report: 11 first response, 2 accidents, and 1 fire for a total of 14 runs. This Sunday there will be an ice rescue training at the quarry.
Tom Wetzler was present and wished Linda good luck.
