Regular Meeting
Tuesday, February 18, 2010
7:00 P.M.
Present at the meeting were Mary Ann Gay, Linda Krinop, Tammy Wilhoit, Steve Wilhoit, DeDee Holliday, Beth and Patch Rumsey, Dan Wilson, Jodi Comer and Tony Wood.

Roll Call – Norman Kappes was not present.
Motion was made to waive the reading and adopt the pre-read minutes. DeDee 1st, Linda 2nd

Ordinance 2010-1 was presented, which is an amendment to the Sewer Pre-Treatment Ordinance. With recommendations from Don Larson of Commonwealth Engineers, the local limit has been increased.
Motion was made to adopt Ordinance 2010-1. DeDee 1st, Linda 2nd

Resolution 2010-5 and contract was presented for cleaning services from Jeanne DeBurger for the Gas Utility Office.
Motion was made to approve Resolution 2010-5 and sign the contract. DeDee 1st, Linda 2nd

Street Department – Steve Wilhoit stated they have been dealing with the snow. He stated that the brine has been a successful pre-treatment for the streets. He also spoke of Nixle (Municipal Wire) that alerts communities of emergencies, information, etc. If you have texting on your cell phone you can go to Nixle.com and sign up for this free service.
Gas Department – Steve Wilhoit stated that he will be attending a seminar in March to discuss the gas hedges for 2011. A leak survey has been done and the regulator station at Napoleon has failed. That station will need to be rebuilt.
Sewer Department – Tony Wood said the report was ready to sign. They have been having a problem with settling in the aeration tanks. He has asked Commonwealth to come up with an emergency plan. The Sewer Department will be attending a seminar to obtain CEU’s. Steven Stepleton was being trained to take sewer on call. He will be put on the regular rotation in a couple of weeks.
Southeastern In Regional Planning Commission – Jodi Comer was present and discussed some Disaster Relief Grants for Storm Water and Sewage. Discussion began on a Storm Drainage Assessment Fee.
