Regular Meeting

7:00 P.M.
Present at the meeting were Tammy Wilhoit, Norman Kappes, Al Stong, Mary Ann Gay, Eric Roush, Linda Krinop, DeDee Holliday, Chuck Gill, Steve Linville, Tony Wood, Gary Norman, and Brenda Wetzler.

Ripley County Garage Sewer Extension:
Pay Estimate #2 to Johannigman Excavating for $33,489.00.

Al Stong with Commonwealth stated that there is monies left to use on the Wastewater Project and Tony has put together a list of priorities. He is requesting council approval on this punch list while the contractor is still on site.

Owner / Engineer Agreement was presented between the Town of Osgood and Commonwealth Engineers for engineering services on the U.S. 421 Curb and Sidewalk Project in the amount of $66,000.

The 2013 Ripley County Economic Development Inter-Local Agreement was presented. Osgood would pay 12% of EDIT funds to RCEDC.

An Agreement between the Town and Windstream KDL, Inc. was presented. Windstream is requesting permission to use the Towns Right of Ways to install a fiber optic cable system. The Town will request some changes to the document which include no installation without prior approval from the Street Superintendent, to make sure there are no conflicts with our utilities. Also, any lines that need to be ran on Railroad property, Windstream with need to get permission from CSX.

Fire Department Steve Linville apologized for missing the Town meetings due to other conflicts. They are looking at delivery of the new tanker around the end of September. There was a delay due to Freightliner sending the wrong chassis to Emergency One. Emergency One is working on knocking some of the price down or getting extra items at no cost. He also gave his yearly statistical report: 116 runs with 66 of those being first response, 28 fire, 6 wrecks, and 16 other calls. He requested to speak with the Council in an executive session after the meeting.
Police Department Eric Roush gave monthly statistical report:

Town Council wanted to recognize the two new restaurants in town: Trackside Pizza and the Red Barn (under new ownership).
