Regular Meeting

Present at the meeting were John Hegge, Josh Cady, Tony Wood, Steve Wilhoit, Chuck Gill, Ed Newman, Steve Linville, Jodi Comer, Pat Zaharako, Beth and Patch Rumsey, Linda Krinop, Norman Kappes, DeDee Holliday, Tammy Wilhoit, Mary Ann Gay, Ed Newman, and Steve Stepleton.

Motion was made to waive the reading and adopt the pre-read minutes. Norman 1st, DeDee 2nd

Opened Public Hearing for the 2011 Budget. Linda Krinop asked if anyone had questions. No one responded. Hearing closed.
S.I.R.P.C. Jodi Comer stated that we have received the Engineers Statement of Qualifications for the Storm Drainage Project. A letter had to be written to the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs stating that there was only one firm (Commonwealth Engineers) that submitted and that we have worked with them before and have been pleased. Also, the grant administration service quotes were received. We received 3 responses back, with only one administration (S.I.R.P.C.) quoting a price. She will have paper work ready for next meeting.
Commonwealth Engineers Pat Zaharako was present requesting permission to resubmit the Tiger Grant Application, which is due August 23rd. It will be filed electronically this time.

Osgood Public Library has given Council copies of their 2011 Budget for their review. This will be addressed at the next Council meeting on September 21, 2010.
The Town will be having an auction on 2 trucks at the September 21st meeting. We will be auctioning off the little dump truck and the water utility truck. Ads will be prepared for the paper.
Sewer Dept. Tony Wood said everything was moving forward. They are having transmission problems with their truck.
Water Dept. Chuck Gill reported no problems.
Fire Dept. Steve Linville was present stating that they are looking at replacing a 33 year old pumper. They are at least a year out from needing funding. He is requesting funding from the Town as well as other sources.
Police Department John Hegge state that he has received a $7,740 grant from the Criminal Justice Institute for the video system. He stated that this is a draw down grant and that the equipment had to be put in before we would receive the grant money.
Ed Newman stated that there have been no meetings with the Planning and Zoning in 3 months. They will be holding a meeting this month, but there is nothing that pertains to Osgood.
